The dining room is in the front part of the house, on nearly the same level as the outside portal although there is a small step.
This part of the house used to be used for the livestock and this area did not have any access to the upper floors. The first floor used to be the living area and the second floor was used for storage. There was a double exterior staircase under the balcony which led up to both of the living areas.
Although the floors have been rebuilt using cement, the original stones have been maintained in the outside walls as well as the original wooden beams which existed before the last renovations, so you get the impresión of going back in time.
There is a cast iron heater in the entrance to the house which has two glass sides to enable you to enjoy looking at the flames from both the entrance and the dining room while appreciating the warmth. |
